Outcomes of the project

     Researchers at Curtin University developed a self-help guide to improve mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The guide provides ideas from international experts to improve mental health and wellbeing in children, teenagers, adults and older adults.  The project was funded by the State Government of Western Australia.

The research team evaluated how effective the guide was in 2020 in 225 people from Australia and the UK. Significant decreases in anxiety and depression were found, and over 80% of people said the guide was helpful and easy to read.
