Watch the video below to learn more about the guide and key aspects that have been found to have been helpful for improving mood and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Researchers at Curtin University developed a self-help guide to improve mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The guide provides ideas from international experts to improve mental health and wellbeing in children, teenagers, adults and older adults. The project was funded by the State Government of Western Australia.
The research team evaluated how effective the guide was in 2020 in 225 people from Australia and the UK. Significant decreases in anxiety and depression were found, and over 80% of people said the guide was helpful and easy to read.
The guide is available to download for free from 'The Guide' section of the website.
